I'm a graduate of Odem High School, class of 88. I then went on and received my Associates Degree at Del Mar College and later my Bachelors as a Bilingual Generalist EC-4 at Texas A&M Corpus Christi.

I started here at Odem Elementary as a volunteer for the HOSTS program, and fell in love! It was then, that I knew what my career choice should be, teaching! So I've been here since 2001, first as a Paraprofessional, then teacher and now as a Reading Interventionist/GT teacher for 1st and 2nd grades.

 My husband and I are both Odem graduates with two grown children who are also Odem graduates. HootHoot!! We are blessed with four beautiful grandchildren. One grandson and two granddaughters, who are also Odem Owls, and one gorgeous baby girl not yet in school. I am happy to be here, in my home town, working to help our children learn to love READING!!!
